I hand-fabricate my fine silver jewelry from Precious Metal Clay* (PMC*). PMC is composed of microscopic particles of silver, water, and an organic binder. Similar to clay, PMC can be rolled, formed, cut, shaped and impressed with designs. When the silver clay is fired, either in a kiln or with a torch, the water evaporates, the binder burns away, and the metal particles fuse to form fine silver (.999). These pieces incorporate precious and semi-precious gems, dichroic glass, and cubic zirconias.
BRONZClay* is the brainchild of inventor Bill Struve. Composed of 89% copper and 11% tin particles suspended in an organic binder, BRONZClay allows artists to fabricate solid bronze jewelry in an exciting new way.
My beaded designs reflect a love of natural stones - the smooth ones which are cool to the touch - and the faceted ones which catch and disperse the light. Each piece is unique - a one-of-a-kind creation. Many of my designs feature fresh water pearls.
* Precious Metal Clay, PMC, and BRONZClay are all trademarked products.
